Dear %%$first%% %%$last%%,

Once again, Geist is offering free copies to educators as part of our Geist in the Classroom program.

As a previous user of the program, I am writing to see if you are interested in receiving free copies of Geist 100 and 101 for the summer semester. These issues are packed with Geist's signature mix of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, comix, reviews and photography, making it perfect classroom material for anyone interested in the activities and musings of a nation called Canada.

Here are some more reasons why we think you'll like Geist in the Classroom:

  • It's FREE! We'll mail print issues right to your school or send you a link for a digital version.
  • It's Canadian and it's contemporary. Geist is an ongoing anthology of what's current in Canadian literature. Each Geist in the Classroom package features a teaching guide to help you generate ideas for lesson plans.
  • It's fun. We invite students to enter our bi-annual writing contests and to submit to the magazine as we are always looking for new contributors. Since 1990 we have published over 1,000 writers, some of whom have gone on to win Giller, Writer's Trust, and Journey prizes.

If you would like copies for the summer semester, please reply to this email with:

  • Number of copies
  • Dates of course
  • Address of school

Teaching a course in the fall semester? We can arrange for that too! Let me know.

All the best,

Stefanie Bartlett
