Calling all writers and wordsmiths—we are now accepting submissions for The 20th Annual Geist Literal Literary Postcard Story Contest!

How it works: Send us a story and a postcard—the relationship can be as strong or as tangential as you like, so long as there is a clear connection between the story and the image.

Deadline: June 30, 2025 at 11:59PM PST.

Winning entries get cash prizes and publication in Geist, so dig through your drawers and find a postcard that inspires the micro-lit writer in you.

Geist is open for Art Submissions

Calling all artists, photographers, and collage-makers: Geist is now accepting art submissions! We’re looking for art and photography (traditional, digital, mixed media, etc.) to accompany written work in the magazine. We also seek to publish art and photo essays with text by the artist.

Send us your best work through submittable by June 2, 2025 at 11:59pm PST.

Well, no more waiting or emailing in for small edits—we're excited to announce that Geist has finally activated our login portal!

With the new login portal, you can go into your account to check and/or renew your subscriptions, as well as edit your information! All you need is your email or subscriber # associated with your file and postal code (no password) to login.
